Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Rehabilitation Officer to join Leeds City Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n \n\n Carry out specialist assessments to identify individual needs and rehabilitation goals\n\n \n\n Develop and deliver tailored rehabilitation programmes to support independent living\n\n \n\n Teach daily living skills, orientation and mobility techniques, and communication methods\n\n \n\n Provide emotional support and practical guidance to individuals and their families\n\n \n\n Work collaboratively with social workers, health professionals, and voluntary organisations\n\n \n\n Maintain accurate case records and contribute to support planning\n\n \n\n Support the safeguarding and well-being of vulnerable service users\n\nWhat You ll Need:\n\n \n\n A recognised qualification in Rehabilitation Work (Visual Impairment)\n\n \n\n Experience assessing and supporting people with visual impairments\n\n \n\n Skills in teaching mobility, communication, and independent living techniques\n\n \n\n The ability to manage a caseload and work within safeguarding frameworks\n\nIf this role would be of interest, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
