Social network you want to login/join with: Python Developer - R - 12 month contract - Glasgow (hybrid - 3 days onsite) We are looking for an experienced Python developer to work with a team of global experts, developers, data scientists, and technical leaders to create standardised development practices, integrate industry-leading tools, and build internal solutions as required. A key aspect of this role involves serving as the main point of contact for the firm's R language user community, assisting data scientists, researchers, and analysts in setting up and troubleshooting their environments, evaluating libraries, and creating user-friendly documentation. You will also develop automated solutions to streamline these processes. I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have: Excellent hands-on skills in Python development. Experience or willingness to develop expertise in R. Familiarity with development tools, IDEs, and interactive notebooks (eg, Jupyter). Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Experience of working on Linux platforms Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to lead technical delivery and act as a primary technical contact. Knowledge of containerisation platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes would be an advantage. Understanding of Windows-based development.
