Job Title: Project Manager/Product Development Lead Location: Stirlingshire (Scotland) Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum Office based with up to 1 day per week remote working Company Overview & Job Title: An innovative award winning engineering company based in Stirlingshire (Scotland) who specialize in the Medical Technology Industry who design and manufacture high quality cutting edge medical devices that make a positive impact on the world are now seeking to hire for a brand new Project Manager/Product Development Lead to join the thriving business and dynamic team. The role will suit a Project Manager or Engineering Manager who has also been managing project aspects like scheduling, budgeting and interfacing with the customer. The company would strongly prefer medical (experience with ISO13485, FDA quality systems) for this role, but time is a big factor so the company willing to compromise if needed. Salary on offer: The salary on offer for the successful Project Manager/Product Development Lead is £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience. Hybrid working of 4 days working and 1 day WFH is available along with flexi start and finish times. The role: The successful Project Manager/Product Development Lead will join an innovative multi-disciplined engineering team and will need to have an engineering background in product development who is eager to work across the entire full product lifecycle . The Project Manager/Product Development Lead role is heavily towards project management (strategy, resource assignment, reporting etc.) with particularly close interfacing with an OEM business customer who the company are developing a product for the customer is leaning heavily on the company s guidance and leadership and the project is dynamic so this will need a friendly but confident character with a collaborative style. Key Skills: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Electronics related subject, with experience in product development project management. 5-7+ years industry experience Proven track record in a product development environment ( ideally on a medical device ) Demonstrated project management experience leading a design engineering team and managing project scope, schedule and ideally budget. Excellent organisational skills, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. The candidate should be comfortable to lead meetings with both internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will have a passionate attitude to champion the project, work across departments and actively drive the project from initiation to completion. The role would suit a motivated self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to problem solve, develop solutions and escalate issues as needed. Desirable nice to have skills: Experience of working within the Medical Devices (preferred), pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated sectors are highly desirable, as is a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, particularly ISO 13485, IEC 62304 and IEC 60601.
