Job Description Walker Cole International is partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical company to hire a Principal Scientist (Technical Lead), focused on product characterisation. This laboratory-based position plays a key role in supporting the development of complex biologics, combining technical leadership with hands-on scientific expertise. Key Responsibilities of the Principal Scientist, Technical Lead: Establishing and executing internal characterisation strategies to support the development of biologics. Designing and implementing advanced analytical techniques, with a focus on mass spectrometry, to investigate structure, impurities, and degradation pathways. Developing characterisation approaches across multiple molecule types including ADCs, fusion proteins, and bispecific antibodies. Acting as the technical lead for both in-house and outsourced analytical activities, including oversight of external partners. Driving continuous improvements in analytical processes, systems, and technologies. Preparing and reviewing documentation to support regulatory submissions and internal quality standards. Key requirements for the Principal Scientist, Technical Lead position include: Significant experience developing and applying mass spectrometry methods for biologics characterisation. In-depth understanding of protein chemistry, including post-translational modifications and degradation mechanisms. Experience supporting CMC development and working across cross-functional teams. Strong track record in analytical method development and optimisation, including peptide mapping and HCP profiling. Ability to lead scientific strategy while managing both internal and external technical relationships. #J-18808-Ljbffr
