URGENT ROLE- REQUIRED START ASAP Principal Safety Engineer Contract Role - 6- 12 Months Up to £85ph Offices based in Bristol, Altringham, Glasgow, Epsom, or Silchester The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Principal Safety Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defense client. Some of your duties will include: Lead safety assurance throughout the lifecycle of nuclear facilities (design, construction, operation, decommissioning). Support compliance with Site Licence Conditions. Develop and lead safety case documentation (e.g. SJP, PCSR, PCmSR, PRS). Support/lead submissions for design changes and modifications (LC/AC 22). Engage with stakeholders, clients, and regulators on technical safety issues. Conduct and/or oversee assessments including: ALARP, ARM, Functional Safety, Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety, System Safety, and Risk Assessments. Criticality, Fire, HAZOP, HAZAN. What do you need to succeed? Proven experience in nuclear safety case development and assurance. Strong understanding of nuclear safety culture and leadership principles. Able to lead high-performing teams, supervise and train others.
