Principal Engineer - Mechanical Process Up to £87 per hour 12 months contract Plymouth - REMOTE (once in every 6-8 weeks) Join the global leading team where talent thrives and innovation flourishes in Defense, Nuclear, Marine, Civil and more. They are seeking a Principal Engineer - Mechanical Process to manage the design development and delivery of highway engineering work packages. You will be responsible for overseeing plant development, primarily in the nuclear or oil & gas sectors, with a strong focus on mechanical systems while ensuring an understanding of process aspects. You will be involved in interpreting ISO drawings, conducting stress calculations, and verifying mechanical integrity. This role will need someone who can undergo Security Clearance (SC). ONLY people who are eligible for SC should apply! Skills Required: 6-8+ years' experience of designing mechanical services / process systems. Experience of working in a highly regulated industry, strong preference to nuclear. Understanding of hydraulic / pressure calculations. Understanding of hazard identification (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP etc) Highly Desirable: SC already Masters' education CEng or working towards With a legacy of impactful contributions, it remains a pivotal force in engineering and support services on an international scale.
