Job Description Principal Civil Engineer Infrastructure Job Type: Full-time Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 Job Description: We are working with a consultancy who are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer for their highly regarded Infrastructure Team. The successful candidate will work on a range of projects spanning commercial, education, healthcare, housing, industrial, leisure, and residential sectors, providing engineering design and client support. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for leading teams of engineers and technicians in the delivery of civil & structural engineering projects. Responsible for coordinating delivery of structures, drainage, and highways elements of projects. Responsible for the development and ongoing management of design delivery programmes. Responsible for the analysis and design of drainage systems and highways, progressing to overall design of these elements. Ability to develop drainage and highway designs using design/analysis software. Visiting sites and attending site meetings. Involvement in internal and project design meetings. Attend external design meetings with clients and other design team members. Prepare correspondence and reports. Client relationship management. Managing workload of self and others. Undertaking design reviews to provide a technical audit of designs undertaken by other engineers. About the Team: A multidisciplinary engineering consultancy focused on projects across the UK. The team comprises 38 members with varying levels of experience, providing strong support and mentorship opportunities. Required Qualifications & Skills: BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering. Strong collaboration skills for working with clients and design teams. Knowledge of UK legal processes and procedures for planning approvals. Experience in engineering levels design, drainage design, and Section 38, 278, and 104 adoption procedures.
