Our Client is one of the leading TravelTech companies in the world. They are looking for a senior/lead/principal engineer with architect experience, to be the central force in building and scaling AI solutions across the business and for hundreds of API's. It is essential that you come with 'proven' experience building AI integrations at this scale, with hundreds of thousands of users per month. This role can be 100% remote anywhere from within Spain. Responsibilities Develop and implement system architecture: You will design the overall structure of our system, select appropriate technologies, outline communication and data flow and establish guidelines for developing individual components. Additionally, you will create and implement strategies for scalability, data management, security, and disaster recovery. Design architecture that supports AI innovation: Architect and implement solutions to achieve 90% AI-assisted case resolution, oversee the integration of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to transform our customer experience, and design seamless integrations between our internal systems and AI capabilities. Align system, data, and infrastructure architecture: By coordinating the data and infrastructure teams ensure that the systems are designed to complement each other, focusing on seamless data flow, efficient processing, and infrastructure support for system requirements. Embrace and integrate technologies: Stay attuned to new technologies and assess their potential value for the organization. Evaluate how they might enhance existing systems and guide the integration process with thoughtful planning and collaboration if they align with our goals. Collaborate and communicate: You’ll cooperate closely with different teams – such as Developers, operations, Data Scientists, or business stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa. Solve problems and troubleshoot: Identify core issues and create lasting solutions: You’ll help prevent future disruptions and promote a more resilient and supportive technical environment. Required Skills Your previous experience in implementing AI/LLM solutions in customer-facing (B2C) environments, as well as experience in software development and software operations. Prior experience in the travel industry is a significant advantage. Your hands-on experience with advanced LLM features such as Function Calling and API integrations, Vector Embeddings and semantic search, Prompt Engineering and prompt optimization or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). Demonstrated experience in cloud-native environments and proficiency in diverse architectural paradigms and system design. A proven track record of designing scalable, resilient systems and addressing the challenges of large-scale development and maintenance. Your demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and decisions and strong analytical skills focused on data-driven insights and meaningful Key Performance Indicators. Your fluent English and excellent communication skills, including the ability to simplify and articulate complex ideas effectively in written form. Your previous experience in managing stakeholders across all departments and levels, together with coaching and mentoring different teams and peers.
