About the Portfolio Manager Role As a Portfolio Manager, you'll become the key point of contact for customers and brokers once the loan completes. This isn t a back-office admin role it s a dynamic, client-facing position where your knowledge and judgement directly influence customer outcomes and the bank s reputation. You ll manage a portfolio of bridging and BTL loans, guiding customers through post-completion queries like term extensions, part releases, and facility variations. You ll work closely with underwriters, risk teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure each case is handled with precision, speed, and exceptional service. Portfolio Manager Key Responsibilities Act as the primary contact for post-completion enquiries from brokers, borrowers, and colleagues. Manage requests such as facility extensions, part releases, and redemption processes. Own your pipeline of account variations and keep all stakeholders informed. Prepare and present credit proposals for changes to existing facilities. Monitor accounts nearing maturity and ensure timely resolution of redemptions or extensions. Identify and escalate early warning indicators or risk concerns. Maintain up-to-date, accurate records across all internal systems. Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, risk, legal, and leadership teams.
