iMultiply is supporting a fast-growing professional services firm in their search for a Management Accountant to join their team based in Glasgow on a permanent basis. The Role The Management Accountant will join a specialist team responsible for delivering high-quality financial support to a portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will oversee the full monthly management accounting cycle and play a key role in developing strong client relationships and delivering accurate, timely financial insight. This role will suit an individual with a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and an interest in contributing to process improvement and best practice across the team. Key Responsibilities Full ownership of monthly management accounts for a portfolio of clients Profit & loss and balance sheet reviews with variance analysis and risk commentary Preparation of VAT returns and support for inspections where required Supporting, reviewing, and coaching Finance Assistants Oversight of bank reconciliations and accounts payable controls Preparation of year-end audit files and liaison with external auditors Ensuring compliance with internal controls, procedures, and audit standards Contributing to systems development and process improvement initiatives Responding to ad hoc financial queries and supporting client decision-making Supporting senior finance leadership with project and ad hoc accounting work The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will possess: Previous experience in management accounting (ideally within a client-focused environment) Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with high attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong Excel and general IT proficiency Experience with Business Central (desirable but not essential) Hotel sector experience (advantageous but not essential) Supervisory experience or a willingness to support junior team members Studying towards aprofessional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) or be qualified by experience What s on Offer A competitive salary based on experience Hybrid working model A culture that supports personal and professional growth A progressive, collaborative team with a strong development ethos Exposure to a variety of clients and sector-specific challenges The opportunity to shape and influence processes within a dynamic business If this opportunity sounds like a great fit, but you don t meet every requirement, please do apply.
