A well-established accountancy practice is recruiting for an Outsourced Finance Manager to head up the firms Business Services and Outsourcing Team. This office-based role will report to the directors, and you will have responsibility for all aspects of a portfolio of clients for whom the firm provides end to end services. As Outsourced Finance Manager your responsibilities will include: Statutory accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns, VAT returns, payroll and bookkeeping Management reports (annual and monthly) which identify results, trends and forecasts Assisting the Managing Director with all accounting operations including billing, cost accounting, stock and work in progress, cash flow and revenue recognition for a variety of clients Ensuring quality control and ensuring Practice standards are upheld Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Examining all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies Creating systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations Streamlining accounting functions and operations Supervising, managing and motivating outsource department team Handle client enquiries on a day-to-day basis and keeping the Managing Director informed Reporting to our Managing Director on a timely and accurate basis to allow him to present financial information to our clients Working with our Managing Director to develop systems to support our clients businesses Building and maintaining strong working relationships with a portfolio of clients, understanding their business and ensuring that all communications are conducted in a professional and timely manner and within budget Following existing systems, updating them, and developing new ones as appropriate Suggesting updates and improvements for accounting systems Responsible for client portfolio, billing, budgets and WIP Ad hoc advisory services We welcome applications for this Outsourced Finance Manager role from suitable candidates who satisfy the following: ACA or ACCA qualified (could be first role post qualification, depending on experience) Previous experience working in public practice, and in an outsourced finance function where regular contact is needed with your clients Proficient in the preparation and review of statutory accounts under FRS 102 & FRS 105, personal, partnership and corporation tax returns, including some more complex cases Excellent IT skills; MS Office with advanced Excel skills must be confident in using VLOOKUP, SUMIF and SUMIFS experience of accounting software packages and able to learn new software quickly Solid understanding of the key VAT rules and be proficient in VAT return preparation, review and submission Ability to managing a team and keeping tight control over daily workflows ensuring all deadlines and client needs are met Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, to tight deadlines Submit your CV for this Outsourced Finance Manager role Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications for this role from candidates that do not have the right to work in the UK, or require visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
