Mechanical Design Engineer\n\nDays - Flexible Start Times\n\nUp to £42,000\n\nWe are looking for a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join a market leader in their respective industry. The position will appeal to a strong Mechanical Design Engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company. With lots of opportunities for progression in the future.\n\nThe successful candidate will combine artistic and engineering skills to develop innovative functional products - being active across, Product Design - CAD, Prototyping & Mass production.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop your ideas from concept to production\nDesign for efficient manufacturability, aesthetics and functionality\nDesign failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA)\nProcess failure mode and effect analysis (PFMEA)\nMaintain accurate records of all design changes\nLiaise with customers to identify requirements\nWrite technical reports to summarise findings, at all stages of the design process\nConstruct bills of materials (BOM)\nCosting of products/designs/projects\nEnsuring adherence to all customer specifications, company quality requirements, legislation and good engineering best practice.\nEnsure design solutions are user and environmentally friendly\nCoordinate product testing in accordance with relevant standards and protocols\nStay up to date with advancements in materials and processesKey Skills\n\nIdeally you will have a HNC or equivalent degree within Mechanical Engineering\nProficiency with CAD software (Autodesk Inventor)\nProduct Design or Industrial Design experience gained within industry\nPractical, with the ability to create models and prototypes\nBe organised, self-motivated, pro-active and the ability to multi-task\nAn effective team worker
