About Black Counsel Forum (BCF) Black Counsel Forum is the leading platform for Black legal professionals in the UK and Europe. Our mission is simple but powerful: to accelerate careers, build collective power and transform the legal profession from the inside out. We re known for hosting one of the most respected conferences in the legal industry. And now, we re launching a year-round membership platform a dynamic space offering training, connection and community for Black and other underrepresented legal professionals. We re looking for a strategic, creative, and highly organised Marketing & Community Manager to help shape our voice, grow our audience and support the successful launch of this exciting new membership platform. You ll work directly with our Founder and Managing Director, Sharon Thomas, and collaborate closely with our Graphic Designer, Events Planner and Partnerships Manager. The Role This is a diverse and hands-on role that blends marketing strategy, communications and community engagement. You ll manage campaigns across email, social media, digital, events, and print while also helping us drive demand and spark connection through creative marketing ideas and thoughtful relationship-building. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Communications Plan and deliver campaigns to promote BCF s annual summit, community and partner events, digital community platform and webinars. Lead our LinkedIn and social media strategy, including creating video snippets, reels and thought leadership content. Write compelling copy for newsletters, email campaigns, speaker and delegate comms, press releases and internal communications. Learn and reflect the Founder s tone and values across all public messaging collaborating on posts, writing pitches and securing media opportunities. Maintain a consistent, polished brand voice across all assets. Membership Community Launch Support Support the successful launch and growth of our new corporate and individual membership offerings and platforms. Design onboarding experiences and welcome flows for new members. Promote digital and in person events, exclusive webinars and new resources using fresh and engaging campaigns. Demand Generation & Creative Campaigns Develop outside-the-box marketing ideas to create buzz and build our audience, including: Interviews with inspiring legal professionals Webinars and fireside chats hosted by the Founder Strategic networking events that showcase our influence and values Community Engagement Create a sense of energy and belonging inside our digital community platform Highlight member wins, support platform conversations and encourage interaction and engagement. Provide light-touch moderation and regular content prompts that align with BCF s purpose. Analytics & Optimisation Monitor campaign and platform performance using analytics tools. Report on engagement and reach, and suggest improvements based on data. What You Bring A degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1 2 years experience in marketing, social media, communications or event planning. Strong written and verbal communication skills you write with clarity, confidence and flair. A proven ability to implement strategies and manage projects independently. Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail. Proficiency in LinkedIn, Instagram, X for growing engaged audiences Canva, CapCut with a strong visual eye for great design Hubspot or similar tools for email and newsletter campaigns Zoom, Microsoft Teams for internal and external collaboration PowerPoint for creating impactful, on-brand decks Excel / Google Sheets for tracking and reporting Microsoft Office / Google Workspace Basic experience working with web developers to ensure site updates and alignment. A flair for storytelling, with the ability to find and shape compelling member stories. Interest in the legal profession and confidence in networking with professionals.
