Manufacturing Line Technician who is familiar with working on production lines and in FMCG / Food manufacturing environments, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills is required for a well-established company based in Enfield, North London. SALARY: £31,209 per annum + Benefits LOCATION: Enfield, North London (EN1) - 100% Site Based JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent WORKING HOURS: Rotating Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday, Day and Night shifts AM Day Shift 6.00am - 3.00pm PM Night Shift 3.00pm - 11.00pm At times, there will be opportunity to work additional hours before and after shift, as well as at weekends JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Manufacturing Line Technicianwho is familiar with working on production lines and in FMCG / Food manufacturing environments, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Working as the Manufacturing Line Technician you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient running of the production lines including from raw materials to finished goods. As the Manufacturing Line Technician you will work with colleagues and managers to meet the requirements of the production plan whilst maintaining health, safety, quality and food safety standards. The role is a highly skilled one in which you will have accountability for all aspects of the line. DUTIES Your duties as the Manufacturing Line Technician include: Be proactive towards Health and Safety, working within defined H&S SSW & behaviours, input into H&S improvements and report unsafe conditions/acts Complete all defined Quality Assurance / H&S checks including Pre-start checks and complete all relevant documentation required - inclusive of CCPs Ensure the line team carries out hygiene tasks as defined in work schedules and ensure daily the line is maintained to company GMP standards Manage process/quality parameters as per standards trained and communicated Identify any issues that affect line efficiency and inform engineering team/shift leader. Log all downtime accurately and escalate as required Engage with the continuous improvement agenda, seek out new opportunities and take an active role in all business activities to improve yield and OEE Ensure the line is always supplied with the appropriate materials and escalate in good time if not available Complete SIC boards accurately and on time to track line KPIs Minimise downtime due to changeovers ensuring the production targets for the shift are consistently met, delegate to line team effectively and complete tasks to the time target Ensure all items used in production are issued and de-kitted correctly and any finished goods pallets are receipted correctly Reduce waste whilst ensuring compliance of weights and measures legislation by controlling giveaway Complete effective shift handovers to oncoming line technician to ensure smooth transition between shifts CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge and experience in a Food Manufacturing environment Demonstratable problem solving capabilities Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Proactive and results driven Experience/Knowledge of stock control processes GCSE standard Maths & English competency Basic food hygiene knowledge (Level 2 Food Safety desirable) Manual Handling (desirable) Experience with Critical Control Points (desirable) H&S qualification (desirable) BENEFITS Pension Scheme -your pension contributions matched up to 10% Annual incentive programme Cycle to work scheme Employment Assistance Programme Access to the Extra Spice benefits portal Free Electric Car Changing points at each site APPLY TODAY By submitting your job application to us you are hereby giving us your express consent to submit your details to our Client for this purpose.
