About the job Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery, located in North Lincolnshire, is a key asset of the Prax Group, a British multinational energy conglomerate dealing in crude oil, petroleum products and biofuels and is the only British refiner remaining in the UK energy market. The refinery processes up to 5.4 million tonnes of crude oil per year (up to 113,000 barrels a day) and incorporates some of the most advanced refining and conversion processes in Europe, supplying products by road, rail, sea and pipeline. We are investing heavily for the long-term with a plan to develop a leading, low carbon next generation refinery serving our customers for decades to come. We are currently recruiting for the position of Management & ISO Auditing, r esponsible for maintaining the UKAS accreditation of the refinery's Integrated Management Systems and ensuring compliance with ISO standards, while supporting regulatory and compliance initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the HSEQI Manager this role will interact with many areas of the business including Corporate SHEQ and Legal Department, Business Teams & Corporate SHEQ Manager. Task functions & responsibilities ISO Accreditation: Ensure continued UKAS accreditation of Integrated Management Systems, including ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO/IEC 17020 (Inspection). Audit Coordination: Coordinate and direct sub-contract personnel for refinery operations and Turnaround (TAR) activities, ensuring compliance with auditing standards. Regulatory Compliance: Support business teams in meeting regulatory requirements and manage responses to external compliance investigations and requests from regulators. Document Development: Contribute to the creation and updating of Prax Group policies, procedures and standards. Vendor Due Diligence: Conduct audit vendor setup and due diligence assessments to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Impact Assessments: Conduct impact assessments to evaluate the effects of regulatory changes and business decisions on compliance and management systems. Internal Collaboration : Work closely with Prax Compliance and Legal teams to ensure the satisfactory completion of financial audits and other compliance-related activities. Management Reviews: Perform Management System reviews, including audit protocols, to ensure alignment with business objectives and effective risk control monitoring. Specialist Advice : Represent the refinery at relevant discipline meetings and provide expert advice on ISO standards and regulatory compliance. Secondary Responsibilities Compliance Monitoring: Oversee compliance registers and processes in areas such as financial crime, competition law, GDPR, and conflicts of interest. Documentation Management: Ensure that HSEQI site documentation is continuously updated to reflect the latest standards and requirements. Audit Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on the status of management systems, audit findings, and compliance initiatives to senior management. Qualification Requirements Relevant qualifications in auditing, quality management, or compliance. Extensive experience in managing ISO certifications and integrated management systems. Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks and experience with regulatory bodies. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience or Background Requirement Proven track record in maintaining ISO certifications and leading audit processes within a refinery or industrial environment. Experience in regulatory compliance, including responding to external investigations and managing internal policies. Familiarity with UKAS accreditation processes and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and teams.
