The role involves working with new technologies, supporting on-premises and Azure Cloud environments, and requires UK Security Clearance due to the UK Government end customer. The role offers hybrid working, combining remote work and travel to offices in Warwick or Camberley. The Senior Cloud Engineer will develop and strengthen relationships with customers, provide proactive service, and act as a bridge between engineering and service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction. The role also involves supporting professional services and sales opportunities, primarily as a cloud evangelist for on-premises and Azure solutions. Responsibilities: Lead technical engagement with customer accounts Mentor and coach internal staff Train staff and customers on on-premises and Azure solutions Monitor and report on customer incidents Identify trends, security threats, and technical bulletins Maintain documentation related to customer networks Follow internal and external processes for tasks and changes Assist with proof of concept, testing, and documentation Review engineering documentation Support equipment staging and customer meetings Lead value-added projects and innovations Create high and low-level design documents Accurately submit timesheets and expenses Adhere to GDPR and security policies Candidate Profile: Experience supporting enterprise data centers and cloud infrastructure Technical expertise in cloud, on-premises, and Azure environments Strong work ethic, ownership, and trust-building skills Passion for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement Customer-facing skills and confidence to challenge ideas Qualifications: VCIX -VMWare Certified Implementation Expert (desirable) VCP -VMWare Certified Professional 6 and 6.1 (required) MSCE: Cloud Platform & Infrastructure or equivalent MSCE: Productivity or equivalent What We Offer: Opportunities for development across sectors and roles, inclusive culture, and various benefits including company car allowance, holidays, pension, health support, and discounts.
