Our client is a well-established roofing and cladding contractor with a strong reputation in the industry. With a turnover of £10 million and a robust pipeline of projects they are experiencing continued growth and are seeking a motivated Junior Roofing Estimator to join their team. Role Overview: As a Junior Roofing Estimator, you will play a key role in assisting with the preparation of accurate cost estimates for roofing and cladding projects. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for roofing and cladding projects. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and tender documents. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Support the Estimating Manager in bid submissions and project proposals. Use estimating software (EValuate experience beneficial but not essential) to compile cost breakdowns. Conduct site visits where required to assess project scope. Collaborate with the project team to ensure cost-effective solutions. Requirements: A couple of years experience in estimating, ideally within roofing and cladding. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with EValuate estimating software is a plus but not essential. A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.
