Our client is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Internal Sales Engineer (Mechanical bias) . The ideal Internal Sales Engineer will have a mechanical engineering degree/background. Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 pa Location: West Kent - near Bromley/Orpington Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm Benefits : Company Pension Scheme Private Health Insurance - After the qualifying period 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays plus an additional 3-4 days over the Christmas Period. After 5 years of continuous service the holiday is increased by 2 days and then an additional day for every year worked with a cut off at 5 extra days. The Internal Sales Engineer will be fully office based and in time will be required to travel - UK driving license essential. The Internal Sales Engineer role supports the field sales team with pre and after sales advice, quoting, follow up calls (no out bound sales). Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients through managing and interpreting their requirements Monitor USA/UK/Asia/Europe/China/ROW with regards to quotes converted through to orders. Preparing client quotations for spares, whole systems and following them up to see if the quotes met with their expectations and updating the CRM system accordingly Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product training, and sales support services Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs Liaising with the engineering team Producing, maintaining and editing the price lists Internal Sales Engineer - Skills and Qualifications Required Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering is desirable or qualified by experience 2 years previous experience working within Engineering, sales is preferred Excellent communication skills, comfortable with speaking to customers on the phone Flexible and have a can-do attitude Team Player - essential Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Work and Outlook)
