Service Care Solutions is working alongside a community centred Local Authority , based in Nottingham , which needs a highly skilled and experienced Information Governance Solicitor to join their team. As a key member of the legal team, you will be responsible for ensuring the council's compliance with data protection laws, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.Role: Information Governance SolicitorLocation: Nottingham hybrid working with office attendance once per weekUmbrella Rate: £50 - £55phPAYE Rate (Exc. Of holiday): £48.41- £44.06phContract Length: 3 months ongoing Key Responsibilities Of The Information Governance Solicitor Role Handle your own data protection law caseload from start to completion. Draft, review and prepare data-sharing agreements and contractual provisions on data security. Handle risk assessment and assess legal risks associated with data processing activities. Advise on breach investigations and incident management. This will include regulatory engagement, including interactions with oversight bodies and compliance assessments. Key Requirements: A qualified solicitor with 3+ years of experience in Information Governance and Compliance law. Have experienceof litigation/police matters/wider legal procedures. Localgovernmentexperiencepreferred or experience of working in a similar large organisation.
