Direct message the job poster from Fair Tax Foundation Chief Operating Officer at Fair Tax Foundation Make the Fair Tax Mark a household name across the world! N.b. This is listed as a hybrid role. However, while our preference is office-based or hybrid (office in central Manchester), we offer flexible working arrangements and will consider a fully remote UK-based role for an exceptional candidate. The role The Fair Tax Foundation is embarking on an ambitious international growth journey following a successful investment raise last year. We want to see our Fair Tax Mark label for business become an increasingly recognised name across Europe and further afield; making it as synonymous with tax, as Fairtrade is with ethical sourcing. A new Head of Communications and Outreach will play a key part in taking our brand journey to the next level. About us The Fair Tax Foundation believes that companies demonstrating responsible tax practices should be recognised and celebrated, and any global race to the bottom on corporate income tax resisted. We have developed the Fair Tax Mark label, the world s first certification for responsible tax conduct, which is now widely regarded as being the gold standard for business worldwide. The Fair Tax Mark certifies that a business: seeks to follow the spirit, as well as the letter of the law shuns tax avoidance and the artificial use of tax havens is transparent about where they make profits and pay taxes Our progressive corporate community began in the UK and has grown to embrace businesses headquartered in Denmark, Germany, Finland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands. Fair Tax Mark certification has now been secured by 270 businesses, which together employ more than 400,000 people and contribute a massive £5.3bn annually in corporate tax worldwide. Who we re looking for We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Head of Communications and Outreach to join our senior management team and manage a team of three and a network of communications suppliers. The candidate will be passionate about driving growth in communications and outreach, with a proven track record in customer engagement and retention activities. They will be adept at managing all aspects of our websites (front and back), able to handle multiple communication channels, and have excellent writing and editing skills. They will be insatiably curious about data, leaving no stone unturned to understand what s working and what s not. Ideally, they will embrace the opportunities offered by AI developments and building a hybrid team. They will have experience building and managing a small team, be comfortable in a small organisation and be highly proactive - working up and down the line and across the organisation. They will also be confident talking to business, both directly and indirectly, have experience organising events, and be willing to travel to events when needed. They would ideally be able to work in our office in Manchester, at least on a hybrid basis, and must have the right to work in the UK. However, fully remote candidates will be considered where credentials are strong. The full person specification can be found here. As we are committed to diversity and inclusion, we particularly encourage candidates from underrepresented groups to apply. About the role The Head of Communications and Outreach will have full day-to-day control of our communications channels and outreach activities, and lead strategy on both. They will be a key member of our senior management team, tasked with increasing visibility of the Fair Tax Mark, building on relationships with existing clients, and supporting business development to drive growth of the Fair Tax Mark label. We are rebuilding our Communications and Outreach function from scratch, simultaneously recruiting an Outreach and Events Manager who will report to the Head, with a PR & Social Media Manager to be added later. This is a full-time post. A salary of £45,000 - £48,000 (depending on experience) is offered, with 30 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, and 8% employer pension contributions. The role also offers exciting opportunities to travel, with Copenhagen, Madrid, Rome, and many more attractive destinations in scope. ________________________________________________________________________________ APPLY NOW Please email our Chief Operating Officer Tom Skinner with your CV as a minimum, and if you want to maximise your chances, add a covering letter explaining how you meet the person specification.
