This specialist built school near Coulsdon are looking for a Graduate Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to support children aged 11-19 with mild to severe learning difficulties, including speech, language and communication needs, and autism. The Graduate Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting. Career progression routes include Speech and Language Therapy, Special Needs Teacher, Occupational Therapy and various Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes. A common feature for many children and young people with special educational needs is marginalisation and disadvantage, trauma, dysfunctional family relationships, low educational attainment and stigmatisation. Subsequently they face many barriers in life and are more 'at risk' of negative outcomes. As a Graduate Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist, you will be instrumental in providing consistency, and equipping children and young people in Coulsdon with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.
