Sewell Wallis are working with a highly acquisitive, international business based in Leeds, who are looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager in a newly created role. \n\nA highly autonomous role working within a profitable, diverse organisation that adopts a fantastic working culture and offers career opportunities in the UK and overseas. \n\nThis Financial Accounting Manager role would suit an ambitious, qualified accountant who is either looking for their first move from practice, or for a career move within industry. \n\nWhat will you be doing?\n\nReporting into the Head of Accounting, this hands-on role will oversee all financial reporting aspects of the finance operation, leading a medium sized finance team whilst streamlining processes and systems through various exciting new projects on the horizon.\n\nLead and manage the transactional finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the accurate and timely execution of financial tasks.\nCalculate accruals and prepayments required each month prior to closing ERP ledgers\nPerform regular balance sheet reconciliations\nOversee the financial accounting function, managing year end financial statements and coordinating with auditors\nAssist with audit planing for year end group reporting\nVAT returns\nDevelop robust financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.\nDrive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the team to enhance overall performance and productivity.\nWork on up-and-coming projects across the finance team, working closely with senior stakeholders across the businessWhat skills are we looking for?\n\nACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification\nExperience in a financial accounting role or a demonstrable background in audit\nManufacturing experience would be a nice to have but not essential\nTeam management experience\nSAP would be beneficial but not essential What's on offer?\n\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays rising every year to 28\nExcellent pension up to 10%\nPrivate medical for you and family\nEnhanced maternity and paternity leave\nHybrid working\n10% bonus schemeSend us your CV below, or contact Lucy Regan for more information.\n\nTo apply please send your CV, quoting our reference and specifying which website you saw this position advertised on.
