Gemini People is partnering with an established and forward-thinking forklift company, the authorised Cesab dealer for Leicestershire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire, to find an experienced Field Service Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to achieving ambitious growth plans in the industry. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing both client and company equipment on-site as well as in the workshop. Your responsibilities will be diverse, including servicing, preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair work, as well as performing Thorough Examination Inspections. Key responsibilities include: Performing servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on both company-owned and customer forklift trucks, with an emphasis on minimizing unscheduled repairs. Providing clear and detailed updates to customers regarding equipment, service, repair, or inspection status, and offering guidance on actions to maintain equipment. Collaborating with the parts department to ensure timely and appropriate repairs. Completing documentation in line with company standards. Complying with Health & Safety regulations at all times. Maintaining a high level of computer literacy for reporting and administrative tasks. As an experienced Forklift Truck Service Engineer, you will have gained knowledge and hands-on experience in a similar role. The following skills and qualifications are highly desirable: Strong mechanical and electrical experience, including diagnostic and repair skills. Familiarity with hydraulics and electrical systems. Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively with customers at all levels. A flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude to work. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. A full, clean driving licence. A comprehensive tool kit.
