Pay Rate: £18 per hour Shift Pattern: 7.4 hours per day, 5 days a week (Full time) Duration: Long Term - 3 months+ Main Purpose of the Job: As a Family Support Worker you will be linked to a locality to assist with various tasks, including: Direct work with children and families Paperwork Taking children and families to appointments Supporting moves of placements Being the second worker on visits Taking notes Responsibilities and Key Areas: Facilitating Letterbox Contact: Manage letterbox agreements and exchanges. Ensure exchanges meet standards and are secure. Provide advice and support to participants. Family Support: Deliver support packages to adoptive families. Build relationships with adopted children. Facilitate groups for adoptive families. Support birth families with adoption-related needs. Coordinate with other services and agencies. Meetings and Development: Contribute to service development. Participate in meetings, training, and regional events. Maintain administrative and evaluation systems. General Duties: Promote communication between agencies. Attend supervision sessions and staff meetings. Maintain records and produce reports. Use anti-discriminatory practices. Fulfill additional duties as needed. Person Specification: Essential Criteria: Experience of direct work with families. NVQ level 3 or equivalent childcare qualification. Essential car user role (alternative arrangements for disabled applicants). Experience with children who have experienced trauma or neglect. Confidence in working with children with challenging behaviours. Person Specification: Desirable Criteria: Experience of direct work with families.
