Permanent Opportunity Tyne & Wear location £39,520 per annum plus quarterly bonus scheme (annual earnings should be circa £42K) 25 days holiday plus stat Additional overtime Monday to Friday 7:30am-4pm (however flexible with start times) Excellent matched pension up to 10% employee/employer THE BUSINESS Westray Recruitment Group is currently seeking to recruit experienced EC&I Technicians for our client based in the Tyne & Wear area. In the role you will be expected to undertake electrical, controls and instrumentation work within a busy processing site. To this end, you will work within an ATEX environment. The employer in question is a big believer in training & development and will provide a platform for upskilling and investing in your career. The organisation in question takes waste fuels and recycles them to produce alternate fuels. THE ROLE Working in an EC&I capacity Electrical tasks include powering machinery, working with 3 phase systems, working with relays & contactors, ensuring plant up-keep, maintaining steam driven systems, maintaining 3 large industrial steam boilers, maintaining distillation processes, pumps, tanks and associated equipment Control tasks include Utilising Allen Bradley PLC s for fault finding & diagnostic work, fault finding & setting dry run protection systems, controlling centrifugal pumps and aiding the automation of the plant Instrumentation tasks include Working with Endress & Hauser instrumentation products, monitoring/setting radar levels, flow meters, level probes and high-level switch protection systems Updating and logging tasks within the SAP maintenance system Reacting to breakdowns and delivering planned maintenance Dealing with outside contractors to aid works where appropriate THE PERSON Time served Electrical Engineer 18th Edition (17th accepted) Must have worked within an industrial setting Able to work with limited supervision Open to development (if required, the business will fund CompEX (EX 1-4) accreditation.
