Electrical and Software Design Engineer Annual Salary: Competitive Location: Poole, Dorset Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a dynamic and talented Electrical and Software Design Engineer to help expand our Clients product range and enhance their currentsolutions, adhering to the highest environmental and regulatory standards. Day-to-day of the role: Create electrical schematic diagrams, panel layouts, and PLC wiring diagrams. Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and order components. Develop and edit software code for PCBs and PLCs. Design electrical circuits and control panels, including wiring and cabling. Translate customer requirements into detailed specifications. Prepare test procedures and ensure traceability of results. Produce comprehensive documentation to support designs. Collaborate with Sales, Service, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure timely and compliant product delivery. Support design and engineering processes to meet quality standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: HND/Degree inElectrical Engineering. Experience in an Electricaldesign/engineering role. Proficiency in electrical drawings and fault-finding. Experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA software. Familiarity with industrial networks like CANBUS. Experience with AutoCAD or EPlan. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel. Excellent communication and decision-making skills. Experience in creating supporting manufacturing documentation, wiring looms, and FPGA design. Knowledge of product testing, QA procedures, analogue and digital circuit design, PCB design and layout. Understanding of EMC/LVD regulations and microprocessor design. Practical mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills. Full UK driving licence and legal right to work in the UK.
