3.5t & 7.5t Delivery Driver / General Labourer - No prior experience necessary; full training provided
Due to continued growth, Alliance Door Engineering have an opportunity to undertake general maintenance and labouring tasks within our production facilities in Wigan.

The Role
Working as a Delivery Driver / General Labourer within our production area, some of your duties will include working 1-2 days per week within the workshop carrying out the following tasks:
Using a Forklift Truck for loading and unloading – training can be provided.
Checking items against delivery notes and putting stock away.
Checking quality against BOM/Drawing and getting fixing kits ready.
Checking individual components and loading into stillages.
Wrapping and checking industrial doors ready for despatch.
Loading up vehicles ready for deliveries.
In addition, you’ll be carrying out nationwide deliveries using a 7.5t or 3.5t drop side van, 2 days per week with early starts, and providing cover for other delivery drivers as and when required.
The Package
As a Delivery Driver / General Labourer, you’ll be working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, although flexibility may be needed on occasion. You’ll benefit from:
Permanent contract
Salary in the region of £26,000 to £28,000, with the level dependent on experience
Paid overtime available from time to time
Contributory pension scheme
28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
Our Requirements – General Labourer / Delivery Driver
As a minimum aged 21 to meet our company vehicle insurance requirements.
Full UK driving licence with C2 entitlement– for insurance purposes either a clean licence or no more than 3 points maximum will be considered.
Reside within a 15-mile radius of our premises on Warrington Road Industrial Estate in Wigan (Greater Manchester).
Strong work ethic and reliable.
Flexible attitude towards tasks.
Take pride in own work.
Ability to work well as part of a team, take direction, and work on own initiative where appropriate.
Although not essential, a valid Forklift Truck licence would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
