Cover Supervisor - Secondary School (Stockport) - Supply Basis - Flexible Role Forever Teaching Recruitment is partnering with a dynamic secondary school in Stockport to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor on a supply basis. This flexible role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with teenagers, have strong classroom management skills, and want the opportunity to work in a varied and rewarding environment. Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes across various subjects in the absence of the regular teacher. You ll ensure students remain on task, maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, and manage behaviour effectively. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work on a supply basis and choose when you are available. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the teacher. Ensure that students follow the work set by the teacher and remain engaged. Maintain good behaviour and handle any disruptions in a calm and effective manner. Support students in staying focused and completing tasks. Ensure a safe and positive classroom environment. Report back to the relevant teacher or department with feedback on student progress and behaviour. Follow school policies and procedures at all times. Requirements: Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work effectively with teenagers. Previous experience working with young people is desirable (but not essential). Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students. A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude. Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work independently.
