Court of Protection Solicitor Manchester / Hybrid Competitive Salary A top-tier law firm is looking for an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join its team. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in property and affairs matters. The Role: As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you'll play a key role in the development and delivery of our Court of Protection and Private Client services. Your responsibilities will include: Managing Property and Affairs Deputyships for clients with serious injuries, working closely with their families and support networks. Supporting clients with Trust management, tax matters, and the preparation of accounts. Drafting Personal Injury Trusts, Statutory Wills, and other Court of Protection applications. Working in partnership with the Head of Department to provide litigation support and gradually building your own caseload, including potential contentious work. Visiting clients in hospitals, their homes, and care facilities to offer legal advice and build strong relationships. Making and monitoring payments for clients, forecasting future expenditure, and setting budgets tailored to individual needs. Providing ongoing support for lifestyle management and personal requirements, always maintaining high client care standards. Supervising and mentoring junior team members such as paralegals and trainees, offering feedback and support. Contributing to the continuous improvement of case management systems and team procedures. Delivering exceptional service in alignment with CFG Law s core values and commitment to making a difference. What We re Looking For: 2+ PQE Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Court of Protection work. A sound understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and other relevant legislation. Prior experience supporting claimants and vulnerable clients. Comfortable using legal case management systems. A flexible approach with the ability to work across our offices and travel within the UK when necessary. A problem-solver who applies critical thinking and sound judgment. strong team player who is comfortable working within their competence and asking for support when needed.
