Locum Band 6 CPN Dementia Team High Pay, Flexible Contract in Inverness! JOB DESCRIPTION Are you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) with experience in dementia care? We have an exciting locum opportunity in Inverness, offering great pay and flexibility! Job Title: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) Dementia Team Location: Inverness Duration: 3 months ongoing Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Rate of Pay: £35 per hour Contact: Ozan Topbas / What You ll Be Doing: Join our Dementia Team as a Band 6 CPN and provide specialist mental health support to individuals living with dementia. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive mental health and cognitive assessments for individuals with dementia. Developing and implementing personalised care plans to support patients and their families. Providing specialist interventions to manage challenging behaviors and cognitive decline. Supporting patients with medication management and monitoring side effects. Offering crisis intervention and risk management strategies to ensure patient safety. Liaising with families, social workers, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS standards and guidelines. Requirements & Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: A current and valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse. Previous experience working with dementia patients in a mental health setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
