This is a temporary role that will run up to 12 months. BASIC PURPOSE To support the global brand communications strategy through careful co-ordination with teams across the world. Assist the team to ensure new product launches and reveals, promotional activities, and brand positioning opportunities are leveraged to maximum result and that Oceania Cruises remains top of mind amongst media in travel, lifestyle and where appropriate food focused sphere. The role will also include event planning for domestic and international teams and media and may include brand-level event planning regarding new ship launches. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Support the global communications team, including external PR agency teams on all aspects of communications and public relations including drafting and editing press releases and announcements, assisting with event planning and guest list management, competitor analysis and research. Collation and analysis of global media coverage, plus identifying new publications / journalists the brand should engage with. Assist with updating the global communications calendar and management of the cadence of news stories. Ensure that all communications adhere to the brand voice and brand pillars. Create briefing notes for teams to refer to when speaking in public, maintain and update these. Work with key executive stakeholders to create a new library of media kits / biographies. Assist in drafting key award entries for the brand, including researching material for inclusion. Assist with the inhouse magazine production cycle, including proofing, creative ideas for features. Collate international PR agency monthly reports, analysis of results, consider how to overhaul this. Attend and represent Oceania Cruises at internal and external events. Champion the Oceania Cruises brand by ensuring all engagement activities, both internally and externally, reflect the brand guidelines. Projects/Tasks may change or be adjusted according to business requirements along with the further development of the position, its role within the company and the overall organisational development. QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES The candidate must be completing a Marketing, Communications or PR degree. Excellent attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels from CEO down. Strong writing skills copy writing, editing, proofing. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team is paramount. Computer literate: experience with Microsoft Office products is essential. Organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform under pressure. Flexible and adaptable to company requirements.
