Job Title: Commissioning Manager\n\nLocation: Reading Area - 2+ days on site per week, pending business requirements.\n\nHours per Week: 40\n\nPay Rate: £67.89 per hour - Umbrella\n\nContract: 12 Months\n\n Due to project requirements we are only able to consider applicants with current DV Clearance \n\nCommissioning Manager needed on contract to join an established engineering consultancy in the Reading area.\n\nYou will oversee the entire lifecycle of systems, from planning and commissioning to testing and handover, Verification & Validation. Your role ensures that facilities are ready for future operations and meet required capabilities.\n\nWhat the role of the Commissioning Manager entails:\n\nSome of the main duties of the Commissioning Manager will include:\n\nAuthor the facility commissioning strategy, and commissioning plans in line with work breakdown structure\nProduce the commissioning schedule in line with project master integrated schedule\nVerification and Validation of commissioning activities and documentation.\nCollaborate with Suppliers, Site Operations, Nuclear Services, the Operational Control Centre, and other commissioning teams to foster strong cross-disciplinary relationships.\nReport to the Operational Readiness Manager, achieving key project milestones and providing progress updates in alignment with project requirements and deliverables.\nWitness Factory Acceptance Testing, Setting to Work, and Site Acceptance Testing in both inactive and active commissioning phases.\n Manage test failure resolution.\nUnderstand the requirements of Commissioning procedures and ONR License Condition 21 Commissioning and ensure the commissioning framework developed, demonstrates compliance.\nPrepare and present regular commissioning progress updates.\nManagement of changes to commissioning schedules, resources, and forecastsWhat experience you need to be the successful Commissioning Manager:\n\nHonours Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent demonstration of competence through skills, knowledge, and experience.\nDemonstrable experience of developing Strategies for Testing, commissioning, and generation of handover plans.\nExcellent collaboration and communication skills with ability to communicate complex and diverse processes and procedures effectively\nDemonstrable experience of verification and validation, (the V model)\nExperience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated industry.\nAbility to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.\nStrong project management and organizational skills.This really is a fantastic opportunity for a Commissioning Manager to progress their career.
