Commercial Analyst - Manufacturing Business Manchester Area, UK Full time, Permanent Hybrid Working Salary - £33,000 - £38,000 Job Overview The Commercial Analyst will collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of performance reports. This role plays a key part in driving business growth by analysing data, providing valuable insights, and offering recommendations for improving operational efficiency. The analyst will be involved in areas such as sales and margin optimisation, management information (MI) reporting, pricing strategies for students and ADIs, and departmental performance analysis. Seeking a proactive, confident individual with the potential to grow into a senior analyst position. Key Responsibilities Trend Analysis : Perform comprehensive trend analysis and deliver insights to support data-informed decisions and promote business growth. Performance Monitoring : Regularly assess daily and weekly trading performance, identify potential risks and opportunities, and contribute to weekly performance data and commentary. Data Consistency : Continuously assess and ensure consistency in commercial and operational data across different reporting platforms. Cross-Departmental Collaboration : Foster strong working relationships across departments to enhance overall operational performance. Margin Optimisation : Identify and implement opportunities to improve margins through cost and revenue analysis. Pricing Analysis : Develop models and evaluate the impact of various pricing strategies, assessing their outcomes to guide future decisions. Financial Support : Assist the Finance Team in managing supplier invoice workflows and handling general ledger entries. Essential: Strong analytical and numerical abilities with a keen eye for detail in data presentation. Prior experience in a commercial or operational analysis role. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (experience with Power Query and Power BI is a plus). A positive, professional, and flexible attitude towards business change.
