We re looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to help us create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. About You: You re a passionate advocate for vulnerable children, with a strong understanding of their needs and the challenges they face. You have a deep commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. You have a proven ability to design, develop, and implement personalised care plans and routines that deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes. You re meticulously organised ensuring care plans, staff rotas, and home operations are well-planned, compliant, and delivered on time. You have excellent leadership and relationship management skills, with experience building and maintaining strong teams and external partnerships. You re a natural collaborator, able to work closely with social workers, families, schools, and healthcare professionals to support holistic care. You re a creative and strategic thinker, confident in problem-solving and driving improvements in service delivery. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire your team and advocate effectively for the children in your care. You thrive in a fast-paced, emotionally rewarding environment, balancing daily priorities while staying focused on long-term impact. Experience or interest in one of the following areas would be beneficial: autism, learning disabilities, social justice, or trauma-informed care. What will you be doing? Promote the welfare and safety of children and young people while protecting them from harm. Ensure full compliance with Ofsted s Framework for Inspection and the Children s Homes Regulations 2015. Lead the Ofsted registration process to become the Registered Manager of the home. Recruit, manage, and supervise a team of passionate and skilled Children s Support Workers. Develop a high-quality care framework tailored to the specific needs of children with autism, learning disabilities, or complex health needs. Ensure the delivery of effective assessments, interventions, and individualized care plans. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional standards within the home. Essential Requirements: A minimum of two years of experience working in a children s home within the last five years. At least one year in a supervisory or management role in a children s home. Experience working with children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or a willingness to begin within three months of appointment).
