Due to our expanding workload, we are seeking a Chartered (or Nearly Chartered) Engineer to join our award-winning Building Structures Team in Cardiff. You will manage the production of designs for diverse projects within the Building Design practice across the UK and internationally. Your role involves delivering innovative, ethical, sustainable, and responsible designs that improve how people work and live. AtkinsR alis Building Design provides engineering services across sectors including Education, Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Defence, Energy, and Transportation. You will have opportunities to work on high-profile projects, developing your skills and advancing your career. Key qualities required: Chartered Engineer, MIStructE, or MICE (or nearly Chartered). Experience leading the structural engineering delivery of small projects, managing project teams to meet deadlines and budgets. Proficiency in designing common structural materials and understanding current standards and practices. Experience from concept to construction stage development. Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interactions. Ability to make decisions independently and operate proactively. Responsibilities include: Delivering multiple projects or parts of larger projects on time and within budget. Providing high-quality structural engineering design. Acting as the primary contact for clients, contractors, and design teams. Supporting and mentoring junior team members. Managing your own time effectively across projects.
