The specialist team has responsibility for managing a global portfolio of digital partnerships with global online, mobile, social and emerging platforms to grow audience and revenue for BBC World Service. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager - Global Digital, you will actively pursue and manage reach driving and commercial global digital partnerships for the BBC World Service. You will be responsible for securing multilingual digital partnerships with global tech platforms for BBC World Service. Additionally, you will optimise both new and existing partnerships to drive sustained growth for BBC World Service's audience reach and commercial returns, where applicable, playing a key role in its continued success. As a strong collaborator, you will work closely with the Senior Business Development Manager, Regional Business Development teams, World Service and pan - BBC stakeholders to deliver the World Service digital business development strategy. Your approach will be tailored to reflect both the objectives of the World Service and the broader BBC Group, ensuring WS global digital partnerships are strategically aligned with the BBC's overarching goals-while driving audience growth and, where possible, delivering commercial returns. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in an exciting and rapidly evolving area of BBC World Service. Main Responsibilities You will be responsible for managing BBC World Service Global Digital accounts on a daily basis, seeking opportunities to enhance and expand the partnership globally. Liaise with WS Business Development, Editorial, Growth, Product, Legal and other divisions including Public Service, CRBA and BBC Studios to enhance the WS digital product offer. Work with Audiences to manage regular reporting on partner performance. Be responsible for global digital partner/market updates to regional BD / WS teams. Ensure day-to-day business activities are consistent with the WS business strategy, and work with BBC lawyers, to lead contract negotiations, wherever required. Understand, keep abreast of and disseminate key developments in the digital market including emerging platforms, digital trends and audiences. Work with BBC World Service stakeholders including Head of Rights and BD Operations team on acquiring the necessary clearances for third party syndication on digital platforms. Maintain a close working relationship with World Service BD Regional teams and BBC's Distribution and Product teams to ensure partners receive the best possible service and technical support. Cover for Senior BDM, in absence, by attending pan BBC stakeholder meetings as relevant, supporting the wider BD team. Are you the right person? Proven experience of working in a client facing environment (or demonstratable expertise), with highly developed influencing and networking skills. Strong understanding of and interest in the digital market and emerging technologies, products and platforms. Excellent grasp and passion for issues affecting or likely to affect the broader digital landscape and the competitive forces facing the BBC. Good understanding of the World Service digital offering and the international news market landscape. You will also have comprehensive understanding of the wider digital media environment and distribution/delivery systems. You will possess strong commercial, creative, and digital/technical skills, along with a positive attitude toward continuous learning and development. You will have proven experience in developing and implementing business development plans, which may require financial analysis and modelling. Experience of working with legal teams is desirable - the ability to interpret, negotiate and understand complex digital media contracts. You will have a proven track record in relationship management, demonstrating strong motivation, collaboration, and communication skills. A positive, approachable, and outgoing demeanor, with the ability to build and maintain successful long-term business relationships, is essential. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. High levels of resilience, drive, self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative. Ability to liaise authoritatively both within the BBC and with external organisations, covering a range of editorial, product/tech and commercial interests.
