We are currently looking for an organised and detail-orientated Underwriter to join our client's team in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will require previous experience and join a company with fantastic work culture, and career progression opportunities.

Working hours:

  • Full-Time (Office Based)
  • Monday to Friday 8:45 – 5:30 pm

    • The successful Underwriter will be offered:

  • Basic Salary £35,000 - £45,000
  • Annual Salary Review/ Bonus Scheme
  • Excellent working environment
  • Onsite Parking

    • Underwriter requirements:

  • Experience working in an Underwriter role with Mortgage/ Bridging experience
  • Excellent customer service and telephone manner
  • Initiative to get the job done.
  • Excellent administrative Skills
  • IT Literate
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • CeMAP (Not essential)

    • Responsibilities for the role of Underwriter:

  • Liaise with Lenders and clients to ensure the smooth processing of bridging applications through to completion.
  • Carry out an assessment of the loan application to ensure all aspects of the underwriting criteria are met.
  • Ensure all underwriting is in line with company policy and within regulation.
  • Build good relationships with 3rd party suppliers including brokers and solicitors to assist in the smooth flow of business.
