Job description Archer Social Care have a unique opportunity for a qualified Best Interest Assessor to join a BIA Team in Swindon for a 6 month period to complete Best Interests Assessments under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards legal framework. The ideal candidate will be currently practicing as a competent BIA. The role is primarily home-based, however you will be required to travel to complete assessments in Swindon or the surrounding areas. Responsibilities: Including but not limited to Attend weekly team meetings via MS Teams as well as monthly face-to-face meetings Complete at least three Best Interest Assessments per week which must include the mental capacity assessment in accordance with the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards requirements and legal framework Work to a template of local guidance and considerations for assessors when undertaking the role including expectations of recorded assessment work to enable signatories to be satisfied that the requirements are met for them to authorise the relevant persons deprivation of liberty Duration: 6 months initially Hours: 9am-5pm Requirements: Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months - on the update service?
