Job Title: Band 6 Locum Pharmacy Technician - Part of a large NHS Trust Location: Clinics across Mid and South Essex (Thurrock, Braintree, Southend, Basildon etc) Duration: 3 months (ASAP start) April 2025 Schedule: Full-time, Monday Friday (9:00 AM 5:30 PM, 1-hour lunch) Saturday shift: Once every 2 months (9:30 AM 12:00 PM, time swapped during the week) Rate of Pay: £23 - £26 per hour (PAYE Direct Engagement) Contact: Alex Roberts arobertshg-ahp 0203 475 4858 What You ll Be Doing: Join our NHS client's team as a Band 6 Locum Pharmacist OR Pharmacy Technician and play a key role in supporting community mental health clinics across Essex. In this role, you will: Review drug charts, check stock levels, and ensure adequate medication supply Provide dispensary cover, including ACT duties Work with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care Gain valuable NHS hospital experience with training provided Undertake some sole working with pharmacist guidance Requirements & Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: ACT accreditation (Accuracy Checking Technician) Previous experience as a Pharmacist or pharmacy technician (community or hospital experience welcome) Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care A valid right to work in the UK Working Hours & Contract Duration: This role offers a full-time locum position, requiring availability from Monday to Friday , with some flexibility where possible. The contract is for 3 months , with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs. Mileage expenses are available when driving between clinic sites.
