Job Title:Biochemistry Biomedical Scientist Band 6Location:CambridgeDuration:3-month rolling contract with potential for extensionSchedule:Monday Sunday, 37.5 hours per week (core hours initially to then be moved to 24/7 rota once competencies complete)Start Date:ASAPRate of Pay:£25 - £26 per hour DOE (umbrella equivalent)Contact: Raihan / What You ll Be Doing: As a Biochemistry Biomedical Scientist, you will be a vital part of a busy laboratory, contributing to high-quality diagnostic services. Your main responsibilities will include: Conducting a range of biochemistry laboratory tests Preparing and analysing blood and other biological samples for diagnostic purposes Ensuring high standards in lab procedures and compliance with regulations Supporting quality control initiatives Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care Requirements & Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need: HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist IBMS Accredited Degree 1-2 years of experience in a Biochemistry laboratory Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A strong commitment to high-quality laboratory services Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship) Working Hours & Contract Duration: The role operates Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, initially core hours (9:00 - 17:00) to then move to a 24/7 rota once competencies are signed off. The contract will last for an initial 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and service needs. This opportunity is in high demand!
