Who are Vintage Threads? Founded in 2016, Vintage Threads are one of Europe s leading vintage retailers operating across both online and physical stores. Every piece that we sell has been handpicked from around the world and we typically sell a highly curated selection of both designer and sportswear from the 80s, 90s and early 00s. The VT Rework department was established in 2019 and is a massively evolving facet of the business with our daily mission to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry by reworking damaged items to create some truly unique pieces. What Is The Role? The successful candidate for Store Assistant Manager will play a key role in assisting the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. You will help drive sales, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team of sales associates to maintain store standards. Your leadership and organisational skills will contribute to the store's overall success while creating a positive work environment. The store was opened in September 2024 and we are still focusing on improving the store efficiency, improving conversion rate and constantly driving to better the store to ensure we create one of the strongest retail stores in the UK. Team Leadership & Development: Assist in training and developing store staff. Motivate and support team members to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service. Organise teams daily schedule to optimise time used in store Customer Service & Sales: Ensure customers receive an outstanding and original shopping experience. Act as a point of contact for customers, confident to resolve any complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner. Drive store sales by implementing merchandising strategies and promotions. Identify and maximise on sales opportunities to enhance store performance. Store Operations: Running the store operations and team in absence of the store manager Oversee the store's daily operations including organisational tasks, deliveries and store optimisation Ensure all store policies and procedures are followed. Monitor stock levels, inventory and perform regular stock checks. Help manage visual merchandising and store layout to enhance the customer experience and sales. What We Are Looking For Experience - For this role a candidate with at least 1 year in a retail management role is required. Passionate - We are hugely ambitious with our plans for the future and want someone to come on the journey and drive us to becoming the best vintage company in the world. Dependable - The candidate will work 5 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. Whilst there is flexibility within our rota, Thursday - Sunday is the busiest and most crucial timeframe for the space on a weekly basis.
