ROLE OVERVIEW Join GRIDSERVE as an Assistant General Manager responsible for assisting the General Manager (GM) onsite with day-to-day activities working in collaboration to deliver exceptional standards, operational efficiency, and sales optimisation with a genuine commitment to making people happy - guest and team alike. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Assisting the GM in managing the team members to ensure brand standards and customer service levels are achieved and are of the highest standards. Ensure all staff members are aware of all current promotions and products through regular briefings. Drive commercial opportunities through daily analysis of key metrics and through coaching the team. Deliver a best in class customer experience. Creating and maintaining a customer centric environment which helps demystify the barriers of Electric Vehicles and provides a space where customers can learn and reflect on the benefits of Electric Vehicles. Adhere and apply all licensing laws. Ensure that all Daily standards Audit are completed. You will be assisting the GM on all on-site related activities including H&S matters and related paperwork. Responsible for managing and maintaining high brand standards, including the communal and serviceable areas. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001). Assist in achieving all financial targets. Ensure all aspects of the staff deployment are executed effectively. Train, coach and develop the team to their full potential. PERSON SPECIFICATION Required experience Must have a minimum of 3 years retail or hospitality experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor or Assistant Manager Working within a multi-operator services retail environment or fast paced consumer goods sales environment is advantageous. Required skills and abilities Confident and articulate, able to engage with a range of stakeholders both internal and external. Although working hours will be aligned to core business, candidates will be flexible and willing to work a range of early/late shifts, weekends, and bank holidays when the demands of the role require to do so. Enthusiastic, determined, and passionate about Retail with 1st class standards Innovative, confident, and pro-active approach Be able to work independently and know when to escalate issues. Self-driven, focused, results and quality oriented.The ability to foster self-motivation to achieve tight deadlines. Team player, innovative with sound judgement and solutions driven. Able to approach work with positive energy and integrity. Cordial and professional with excellent client facing skills and effective communication both verbally and in written form. Computer literate. Must be a proficient user of Microsoft suite of packages including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, where needed. Operational Retail hours, 7 days a week, 5:30am-9:30pm.
