Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged by a global, family-owned business to source an Accountant on a full time, staff basis. This role will be based in Bridge of Don with hybrid working, flexibility and a highly competitive salary. This is an excellent role for candidates with management accounting experience and a strong work ethic. \n\n This is a varied role where you will be responsible for preparing accurate monthly management accounts, analysing PL, Balance Sheet and Cash-flow in line with set timescales, preparing accurate annual statutory accounts and necessary VAT Corporation Tax returns. To be considered, you will be an experienced Accountant or an Assistant Accountant taking a step up. \n\n The Opportunity \n\n \n\t To produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts (balance sheets, profit and loss and cash-flows with sundry analysis and full explanatory commentary on pertinent financial matters) \n\t To ensure balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled \n\t To ensure GP ledgers and sub-ledgers are closed monthly and reconciled \n\t To help determine and implement appropriate financial procedures and controls \n\t To control and maintain working capital of business through accurate month-end stock reporting, pro-active debt chasing and management of creditor's payments \n\t To carry out cash flow forecasting \n\t To attend and participate in regular team meetings to facility better running of department \n\t To produce annual CI company's budget after discussions with managers and directors \n\t To produce accurate year end schedules in a presentable format to enable the timely production of statutory year end accounts \n\t To collate and submit all information for taxation and VAT/GST purposes \n\t To understand and deal with all FX movements/accounting for overseas transactions \n\t To provide payroll information to outsourced payroll service on agreed timescale \n\t To check payroll and ensure it is paid on time \n\t To review invoices on Invoices Approval system when necessary \n\t To undertake any other relevant duties as requested by management \n \n\n Background and Experience \n\n \n\t Qualified Accountant, Part Qualified or QBE \n\t Previous experience of reporting to Directors business Management/positive pro-active control of Cash \n\t Management accounting experience \n\t High level of computer skills (use Great Plains knowledge preferred but not essential) \n \n\n Flexibility and Benefits \n\n \n\t Flexible working \n\t Hybrid working \n\t Friendly working environment \n\t Competitive salary \n\t Career progression \n\t Study Support \n \n\n Next Steps \n\n If you are interested in taking the next step in your career or feel a change of environment or sector is your next path, this could be the ideal job opportunity for you!
