Our customer is a world leading MRO service provider for the civil Aviation sector, providing services to over 500 airline customers, covering, Europe, America, Asia & the Middle East.

Job Description:

The position is accountable to the Tooling & Equipment Team Leader, and part of the Tooling & Equipment team. The Tooling Repair and Maintenance specialist is responsible for the monitoring of tools which require calibration and of all tooling and Ground Support Equipment availability, serviceability and compatible with the aviation requirements

- To be responsible for the collection of tools on a monthly basis and ensure they are sent for calibration
- To liaise with calibration suppliers, monitoring delivery times and quality of service
- To perform maintenance tasks on tools as per checklists provided and escalate and report when there is the need for heavier repairs
- To liaise with the Tooling & Equipment team to ensure that tools required are available and in good working order
- To perform repairs as per manufacturer restrictions and liaise with suppliers, monitoring delivery times and quality of service
- To prepare, control all documentation for various assignments
- To maintain and control traceability related to tooling inside the shop and with outside vendors
- To perform preventative maintenance as per requirements
- To repair and upkeep tools and equipment into good working condition per manufacturer requirements
- To work safely and supports 5s initiatives
- To promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the organization
- To ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS manual
- To engage in other duties and/or projects as may be assigned from time to time

Skills and Qualifications:

- Possess experience in handling tools
- Experience in tool repair
- Be able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Be computer literate with strong knowledge of MS office applications
- Be able to communicate well in English
- Be a good team player
- Possess a clean driving license
- Having an electrical license A would be an asset
