Senior Electronics Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to work in a busy RandD Hardware department for our client based just a few miles North of central Cambridge.You will be interested in working with a variety of technologies and be happy to immerse yourself in technology areas that may be outside your previous experience. A flexible approach and a commitment to producing 'right first time' quality products are essential.Duties:You will undertake a wide variety of tasks involved in system design including feasibility, circuit design, PCB layout, system integration, EMC and Low Voltage product approvals and production support.The technologies involved are varied but a core requirement is excellent FPGA's/CPLD's skills. Other areas include SoC, DSP and microprocessors, precision and video rate analogue design, optoelectronics, small motor control, and power supply design.Projects will involve contributions from mechanical, software and production engineers and you must have the familiarity and experience with these to be effective in a multidisciplinary team.Qualifications Excellent degree in Electronics or Physics (or the equivalent), with A/B grade 'A' levels Experience Required Sound understanding of the technologies involved in your current role. Good academic background and the ability and enthusiasm to find out about, and work in, new areas. A demonstrable commitment to producing 'right first time' quality work is essential
