SAP Project Manager / Order Management Track Lead required by our client - an international blue chip - to start in October. Description SAP project manager specialising in Order Management and supply chain business areas as a member of the client SAP Global IS&T Organisation. The candidate will have applied software development and project management methodologies in the past to implement key projects. This is a management role with responsibility for line management of a small team and programme management of all order management and after sales support projects involving the EMEA SAP team. The candidate will require strong communication skills, effective leadership and good technical knowledge to work on complex, global and cross-functional projects. Responsibilities The candidate’s responsibilities include working with the business process owners to deliver approved projects, organising order management resource assignments and managing the order management team. The track lead will manage projects and act as a functional analyst in addition to overseeing the projects assigned to the order management team members. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial to this position as the candidate will interact heavily with business, other IT groups and 3rd parties on an ongoing basis. The candidate will work independently with minimal supervision & be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Education or experience Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems strongly preferred or equivalent work experience. Prior experience with business processes in the area of order management would be advantageous. Experience of SAP projects is essential. SD is the core skill. The candidate may have been involved with SAP PP with a background in integration and planning, and through the implementation aspect be familiar with SD. Alternatively the candidate may from an SD background, leading an SD team and be involved with estimation work. Estimation skills are crucial. The candidate requires 5-8 years of relevant SAP experience covering both a project management role and a technical role such as SD, PP or APO. Knowledge of SAP SM module would be advantageous
