HARDWARE ENGINEER / BUCKINGHAMSHIRE / £NEG
Hardware Engineer sought to work in a dynamic environment on challenging projects. The team is charged with ongoing development of processors, their software tools & development environment, as well as supporting their applications. Applications welcomed from creative Hardware Engineers with skills as follows:
* In-depth technical understanding of RTL-based design & of microprocessor technology
* Proven exp in a development engineering role
* Strong Verilog or VHDL design skills
* Good understanding of microprocessor technology
Advantageous skills include:
* Exp software development for embedded processors
* Related datapath applications; e.g networking, DSP, multi-media etc)
* Optimisation for FPGAs
* Embedded software development in assembler &/or C
* Software engineering in C++ &/or Java
* SystemVerilog-based testing
In this challenging role, the HARDWARE ENGINEER will:
- Specify/architect/implement support for new features
- Optimise processors RTL for current/future device families; Specify, architect, develop supporting HW components to ease integration into system solutions
- Extend existing in-silicon debug capabilities with new HW components allowing more system aspects to be profiled & examined at runtime
