The CEO, Ken Edmonds, is a former MD and Director at Cisco, Nortel Networks and ORA Electronics, with experience in developing global business. CFO Robert McFarland has extensive experience in high volume, low margin worldwide manufacturing and distribution, both as CEO and proprietor, with a very strong finance and legal background. The Board is well supported by Alan Boyd, one of the original founders of the Microsoft Corporation and a previous direct report to Bill Gates.Colin Rigby UK Director who has held various board level posts within a variety of industries specialising in creating and maintaining channel sales streams and partner programs

CURRENT BUSINESS AND PRODUCTS 

MoretonSoft is in the final stages of development of two products targeted at assisting managers to understand and control the use made of the internet by their staff. The 1st product product is tailored for Small to Medium Businesses or Enterprises (SMB / SME) with 10 to 250 staff. The larger and more sophisticated second product can handle more than 100,000 users and multiple corporate networks. 

Summary Role Outline


Essential Functions: 

Work with the senior MARCOM leadership team to develop strategic, company-wide viral marketing and media plans that can be implemented at UK level.

  • Ensure that UK interests are taken into account as plans are developed for the company.
  • Develop innovative and exciting viral and local marketing toolkits that can be easily and quickly executed among multiple markets.
  • Seek out viral marketing opportunities, sponsorships and events that can be executed across multiple markets for the entire company and once approved, develop plans and toolkits for their executions.
  • Assist sales teams with development of monthly & quarterly field viral & cause marketing plans in conjunction with channel partners, track and report on efficiencies of their campaigns.
  • Track, read and respond corporate marketing initiatives to determine positive and negative impact on specific markets and groups of markets.
  • Serve as an advisor to the UK General Manager on issues within marketing that are of concern to the field, specifically those related to viral, event & cause marketing.
  • Serve as a liaison between company and external sales organisations / channel partners.
  • Maintain full awareness of field marketing issues and concerns and communicate that information back to the appropriate teams and leadership.
  • Maintain full awareness of broader company marketing initiatives and ensure that information is communicated accurately and efficiently.
  • Work with our agencies and research group to provide timely competitive information to your regions and markets as needed. Provide analysis of competitive situations that cross multiple markets to ensure greater efficiencies in communications. And develop strategic programs to address those competitive needs.
  • Assist with communication of promotional initiatives to the field.
  • Be accountable for the financial responsibility of marketing budgets.
  • Provide budget oversight and tracking for marketing line items.
  • Quickly resolve and report on any large variances within field marketing budgets.
  • Report on and recommend cost-efficient marketing solutions and areas that provide for cost-savings or cost-improvement specifically within the field sales teams.
  • Ensure accurate and timely vendor payments for field marketing line items.
  • Assist with the development and execution of channel media and messaging campaigns.
  • Work with HQ team to develop innovative and exciting channel toolkits that can be easily and quickly executed among multiple markets.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of channel marketing programs.


Industry Experience: 
  • 6-9 years marketing communications management in a fast-moving IT environment including dealing with external customers / channels and agencies
  • Field marketing management experience; advertising, media & promotion experience preferred 

    Job Experience: 

  • 3-5 year proven ability to deliver marketing communications from concept through launch/post-launch required
  • 3-5 years experience building and managing internal & external teams throughout the marketing communications lifecycle.
  • Viral, event & cause marketing experience.
  • Expert knowledge of key drivers of field marketing programs.
  • 2-4 years experience working with senior management roles and ability to navigate corporate culture
  • Direct work experience in advertising development and marketing communications implementation preferred
  • Experience of co marketing and channel marketing initiatives and projects preferred.
