Job Description:
Our client, one of the premier brands in life science biochemicals has 2 new positions for telesales based in East Anglia. The role will include driving the sales of Research Biotech products through telephone based account management with a particular emphasis on oligonucleotides and RNAi. Also to gather and summarise customer information and market/competitor intelligence both by internet and telephone based research in addition to networking with other members of the Research Biotech team.This will require the diligent preparation, maintenance and distribution of account planners, which will be used by the whole team. You will be required to take responsibility for a range of key accounts and work to add value to these along side campaign/project based activity and also to participate in road-shows, workshops, seminars and exhibitions, as necessary, in order to support the sales and marketing efforts of the Research Biotech team.
Essential Skills: A BSc or equivalent in molecular biology or a related life science subject.
·A demonstrable flair for selling and/or drive to develop a strong understanding of the selling process.
·Well developed people skills including strong written, oral communication skills and in particular, a professional and friendly telephone manner.
·A high level of self-motivation with the ability to operate and perform well based on set guidelines.
·Good administrative skills applicable to tracking of customer information, working with multiple company information systems and recording information for reporting purposes
·A broad understanding of molecular biology (QPCR, oligos, RNAi especially) and an enthusiasm to learn new things.
Salary: £22 – 28,000 + package
