Our Government agency client has an urgent requirement for a highly experienced Procurement professional to commit to a stand-alone role for a period of six months.
?
The main job purpose is to ensure the agency receives value for money in the procurement of supplies and services and that all EU, Scottish Government and internal requirements are met in the procurement process.
?
Key Accountabilities:
?
The candidate will be required to participate in the development of procurement policies by devising draft policies, for approval by senior management and the board, and to develop appropriate procedures in accordance with best practice and all policy requirements.
The role will involve the candidate promoting and monitoring compliance with agency policies and procedures, providing appropriate support and guidance to staff and assisting where required, with training activities.

The candidate will establish appropriate call-off contracts or approved suppliers for use across the board, making use of any suitable Scottish Office arrangements or other suitable partnership arrangements.
?
Primarily, the role will see the successful applicant seek to ensure the achievement of all efficiency savings targets relating to the procurement of supplies and services and provide ongoing management of the outsourced contracts whilst building and maintain a comprehensive procurement dataset
